Love With a Proper Transfer Student is the twelfth episode of the second season (32nd overall) which was broadcast on May 5, 2002.

Synopsis

Dodie develops a crush on the new transfer student, Joaquin Cortez. But Joaquin appears to have feelings for Ginger. Ginger signs Dodie up for the musical Mambo In the Catskills so she can get the lead role of Ellie. Then Ginger signs up herself and also develops a crush on Joaquin when he mistakes her for Dodie. Mipsy's and Dodie's auditions don't go very well for the lead, but Ginger does very well. At first, Dodie thinks Ginger will get to play the hotel maid who cleans Ellie's room. But when the group sees the results of the play, Dodie is horrified when Ginger is chosen to play Ellie, and she is cast as the hotel maid. Ginger tries to play matchmaker for Dodie and Joaquin. But then she kisses him during the cazebo scene where Ellie and Joaquin's character Ronnie kiss, much to Dodie's dismay. Dodie holds a grudge against Ginger for this, which leads to Ginger to choosing her over Joaquin.
