Nickelodeon (or Nick) is an American cable and satellite television network. The network launched on December 1, 1977 and are owned by Viacom. The network is aimed primarily at children ranging from ages 8-17. Their weekday morning programs are targeted at children from ages 0-7. The company rose to fame in the 1990s for producing many animated and live action TV shows such as Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, The Ren & Stimpy Show, All That, Kenan & Kel, The Amanda Show, Clarissa Explains It All among others.
