The company rose to fame in the 1990s for producing many animated and live action TV shows such as Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, The Ren & Stimpy Show, All That, Kenan & Kel, The Amanda Show, Clarissa Explains It All among others. As Told By Ginger was produced and distributed at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio which is located in Burbank, California.

As Told By Ginger's original run aired on Nickelodeon and its sister channels from October 25, 2000 to November 14, 2006. Fair to Cloudy was the last episode to premiere on Nickelodeon. Stuff'll Kill Ya and Ten Chairs premiered on Nickelodeon's sister channel, Nicktoons. On October 22 and 23 of 2016, DetentionKiss Today GoodbyeA Lesson in Tightropes and Dodie's Big Break premiered on Nickelodeon's TeenNick late night block, NickSplat (formerly known as The Splat). Battle of the Bands and The Wedding Frame have premiered internationally, but they remain unaired in the United States.
