The Easter Ham is the fifth episode (45th overall) of the third season which was broadcast on April 11, 2004.

Lois and Joann fight over the last ham for Easter in the supermarket. Joann has to go to the hospital and she makes the Foutleys off-limits to the Bishops, which means that Dodie can't go to the birthday party that Ginger is planning for Darren. Because of this, Dodie selfishly wants Ginger to cancel the party if she cared for their friendship. Ginger is torn to have to cancel her boyfriend's party, but she feels bad to have the party without Dodie. Everybody takes Ginger's side of the war because Dodie is really selfish. Ginger feels like she's stabbing Dodie in the back for having the party without her, but Dodie stabbed Ginger in the back before. (acknowledging the events in Wicked Game) Dodie thinks Ginger doesn't care for their friendship now that she has a boyfriend. Dodie confronts Darren for taking Ginger's side of this war, but Darren tells Dodie off for her selfishness. Meanwhile, Carl and Hoodsey sell Easter candy, but after Lois and Joann's fight, Hoodsey can't do it with Carl anymore much to Carl's annoyance. Carl tries to get Hoodsey to do it with him, but Hoodsey refuses.

Carl and Hoodsey’s Easter Basket Hustle As Told By Ginger The Splat

Lois: (watching TV at the hospital) If I ever agree to eat cockroaches while lying down on a box of live snakes I want you kids to lock me up and throw away the key. Carl: Duly noted.

Courtney: Course not. Now say "Bye, Ginger. See you at the party." Miranda: What she said. Courtney: We're working on it.

Courtney: We're social creatures, Miranda. We need to be in a lot of places.

  • This episode marks the first time somebody tells Dodie off for her selfishness.
  • When Ginger said "Don't remind me" and Courtney said "...and she stabbed you in the back once before", they were referring to what Dodie did to Ginger in "Wicked Game".
